It's a tropical kind of day

Hoo raa! It's tropical Friday! To be honest, every Friday at my work is tropical Friday, but that doesn't make it any less exciting.

Tropical Friday is great for two reasons.

1. It means it's Friday.
2. I get to wear a ridiculously patterned tropical shirt and it's part of my uniform!

I love wearing my shirt proudly as I stroll down the street. Maybe it's not fashionable, but geez wearing loud shirts makes you feel good!

The Frustrations of Uni

Sometimes I don't know why I decided to go back to uni.

I've had a frustrating time this morning trying to decipher what I'm guessing is probably an easy concept behind concrete reinforcement. Easy for people who are familar with it. Which I am not.

I have actually given myself a headache from it.

I know uni is all about teaching yourself and blah blah blah but it still annoys me that the lecturers brush over some basic things that are only "basic" to them because they have been working with it for years and just expect us all to follow along no problems.

Well I have problems! And NO! Sketching it out has NOT cleared up anything for me.

This is a space for me to share and to keep my memories.

What's with the badly spelt blog name? Well it comes from two different ideas. Firstly, the year before last my boyfriend and I moved from Sydney to Townsville. And secondly, I love to holiday slash travel. So naturally I combined the two concepts (i.e. living in Townsville and loving to travel) to come up with the especially clever name of "The Traviller". Pun-ery at its best.
